Today I’m really excited to feature Cameron Hamilton from Wait for You by Jennifer Armentrout on my stop of the 25 Days of Book Boyfriends tour — hosted by the wonderful Jessica at Lovin Los Libros, Chelsea at Starbucks & Books Obsession and Teresa at Readers Live a Thousand Lives! Check out the tour schedule for more book boyfriends!

Cam is seriously an amazing guy. He will always be one of my top book boyfriends. Why? Well, I’ll be more than happy to tell you all about him!

Cam is CARING.

Cam is THOUGHTFUL.

Cam can BAKE.

“I’m beginning to think cookies is a code word for something else.”

“Maybe it is.” He tugged on my bag again as he took a confident step back, forcing me down another step. “And just think about it. If cookie was a code word, whatever it symbolizes, it’s been in your mouth, sweetheart.”

Cam has GOOD TASTE in movies.

Cam is TOTALLY SEXY

“He was gorgeous in all the ways that made girls do stupid things. He was tall, a good head or two taller than me and broad at the shoulders, but tapered at the waist. An athlete’s body — like a swimmer’s. Wavy black hair toppled over his forehead, brushing matching eyebrows. Broad cheekbones and wide expressive lips completed the package created for girls to drool over. And with those sapphire-colored eyes, holy moley…”

Cam is the BEST BROTHER.

Cam has a GREAT SENSE OF HUMOR.

Cam is PERSISTENT.

Cam is PROTECTIVE.

Cam is LOVING no matter what.

Cam has a PET TURTLE — named Raphael no less.

Now, in the book, Cam is known as baker and cook extraordinaire. (Come on, who doesn’t want a guy who bakes and makes breakfast?) I thought I would spotlight one particular item he makes — COOKIES! Below is a snippet of the cookie scene from the book and then my recipe of those cookies! You know you all want to make them because 1) yumm, they’re delicious and 2) we all want Cam’s cookies. 😉

Cookie Scene Snippet:

“Is it really that good?” I asked, glancing down at the cookie in my lap.

“Oh, yeah, this is the shit. I told you that last night. Be better if I had some milk.” He took another bite. “Mmm, milk.”

I dared another peek at him and he looked like he was on the verge of having an orgasm or something.

One eye opened. “It’s the combination of walnut and chocolate. You mix that together and it’s like an explosion of sex in your mouth but not as messy. The only thing better would be those teeny tiny Reese’s Cups. When the dough is warm, you plop those suckers in…. Anyway, you just need to try it. Take a small bite.”

Recipe for Cam’s Cookies!

Ingredients:

2 1/4 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
2 sticks butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 tbsp vanilla extract
2 cups chocolate chips
1 cup chopped walnuts
(optional) 1 tsp almond extract

First, preheat your oven to 375 degrees and then assemble the ingredients!

In one bowl, mix dry ingredients (flour, salt, baking soda) together. In another, stir together butter, brown and white sugar, eggs and vanilla. You can also add in a little bit of almond extract for an extra more nutty flavor if you’d like! Then, mix in dry ingredients.

(it’s a lot easier if you have a mixer, obviously, but I don’t so I did it by hand. No wonder Cam’s so good at baking… he’s got all those strong muscles!!)

Now, stir in chocolate chips and walnuts!

(for better baking fun, snack on the extra chocolate chips)

Spoon out little balls of dough onto greased baking sheets and bake them for 10 minutes!

Tada! Let them cool and then they’re all ready to munch on!
