Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish!

This week we are talking about the top 10 families we’d LOVE to spend Thanksgiving with!

1. Lunar Chronicles FRIENDSGIVING!

Okay, so I’m not sure if they’d still celebrate Thanksgiving because they’re in the Eastern Commonwealth, the European Union, SPACE… but whatever, this is my fantasy. It would be the most epic Thanksgiving ever, Scarlet and Wolf would bring TOMATOES (who cares that it’s not traditional Thanksgiving fare), there’d be some type of Asian foods, Iko would complain about not tasting any of it, Cress would be wide eyed with excitement, Thorne would be presiding over it all while making snarky comments and Winter and Jacin will bring sour candy apples!! It would obviously take place in the Rampien, of course.

2. The Weasleys!

Let’s just pretend they celebrate American Thanksgiving (maybe Arthur wants to celebrate a Muggle holiday to see what it’s like?!) It would be bustling with people at the Burrow and Mrs. Weasley could whip up some magical foods, I’d stay away from any suspicious looking pastilles that could come from the Weasley’s Wizarding Wheezes shop and there’d be butterbeer and pasties and ALL the lovely people packed around a huge table. I basically I couldn’t imagine a better place to spend Thanksgiving!

3. The Lumatere Chronicles cast

I don’t want to spoil any part of the story so I’ll just say I feel like Finnikin would host a really fantastic Thanksgiving! EVERYONE would be there. It’ll be epic and amazing.

4. The Paytons! From Megan Erickson’s Mechanics of Love series

I’d love to spend Thanksgiving with all of the Payton boys and their respective significant others and of course Jack Payton gruffly joining in as well!

5. The Wallflower girls from Lisa Kleypas’ Wallflowers series!

All of the Wallflower girls and their respective men! Another epic Friendsgiving could be had with all of them (shh I know this is another English family — and I don’t think Thanksgiving was even officially a holiday yet then? OH WELL). I’m sure Marcus or Simon could introduce me to a friend…? Haha.

6. Drew’s family from Sea of Tranquility

I’d totally go to Drew’s house for Thanksgiving! Josh and Nastya would be there as well, obviously.

7. The Garrett’s from My Life Next Door

The Garrett family! It would be crazy, of course, but amazing I bet! I always wished I had a huge family when I was younger. The holidays seem like it would be so much fun. I’m sure the kitchen would be an exploding mess and George would be asking everyone in sight questions about everything and it would be perfect.

8. Mia’s family from If I Stay

Um, I bet Thanksgivings would’ve been really fun with Mia’s family. *sobs*

9. Cam and company from the Wait For You series

I bet the whole gang would have such fun Friendsgivings! Cam could bake cookies for dessert! 😉

10. Book blogger Friendsgiving!

Sometimes I just wish we all lived closer together! I think a huge epic book blogger Friendsgiving would be SO MUCH FUN. I would love to meet those that I haven’t met before and love to be reunited with those that I have! We could talk all things books, fandoms, random things, ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING while we ate amazing food together! I could see my fellow league-mates in our book blogger fantasy football league (named Game of Throws) watch football together and yell at the TV (and then possibly each other because of our different alliances or match ups from our fantasy games — but we’d make up by perusing hot football player pics, obviously). Basically, it would be absolutely amazing and now I really wish this could be a thing.

Tell me which bookish families you’d love to spend Thanksgiving with! Do we share any? And what would you bring to a book blogger Friendsgiving?? I’ll bring pie!!

  1. OH MY GOD, YES! I WOULD LOVE TO SPEND THANKSGIVING (or any time, honestly) WITH TLC CHARACTERS! And who wouldn’t want to spend the holidays with the Weasleys? They managed to stay positive and celebrate even in the darkest times, and I loved them for this. FRIENDSGIVING WITH THE CHARACTERS FROM WAIT FOR YOU WOULD BE SOO GREAT! Basically, I love every characters in that series and their friendship seems so genuine and great!
    Lovely list!
    My TTT

  2. A book blogger Friendsgiving would be pretty darn awesome! I think we’d all have a lot of fun, just eating and chatting all things bookish. Maybe even a bookish Thanksgiving gift exchange. How fun would that be??

  3. Great picks Wendy! I would SO love to live with The Weasley’s!!!! Fred and George causing the most mischief and Mrs Weasley’s awesome Christmas jumpers!
