Mini Reviews: Acid, Ember in the Ashes, Kiss of Deception

Fiona Hardingham narrates this one and she is like my all time favorite narrator. That was probably one of the best parts of this listen for me. Acid is about a girl named Jenna Strong, who has just been broken out of prison by a group she knows nothing about, and now she is on the run from ACID – a crazy police force that basically runs the city. I felt like this one had a lot […]

DNF Review: Legacy of Kings by Eleanor Herman

My Thoughts: I DNF-ed at 36%. I was really looking forward to this. It’s supposed to be a historical fiction story of Alexander the Great mixed with fantasy elements. It sounds amazing! It’s totally something I’d be into. Unfortunately, this did not work out for me. And I tried really hard to push through. First of all, the tense it’s written in really threw me. Multiple Review Bites!

Just gonna do a few quick mini reviews for some books I’ve read but haven’t had time to actually review! These will be short and sweet: Boomerang by Noelle August: I really enjoyed this one! I think it definitely shows what NA is all about. I loved the focus on the work/job environment because it’s so relevant. I loved the witty banter that went on between Mia and Ethan. I also enjoyed that this was a fun, […]

Review Bites: White Hot Kiss by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Why Did I Read? Helloo it’s JLA. Plus I read Bitter Sweet Love last year and totally hooked me into the gargoyle world – how does she keep coming up with these awesome ideas?? My Thoughts: I was totally sucked into this world of Wardens (gargoyles who keep demons at bay) and demons (there are so many different kinds — and the humans don’t know they exist) and Alphas (essentially badass angels that you don’t really […]
