Salt to the Sea was such a beautiful historical fiction story! I absolutely loved it and as this was my first book of Ruta Sepetys, I am definitely eager to read her previous books! It was told in four different POVs and it never once seemed like too many POVs. I loved hearing from each character, each voice was distinct and provided that unique aspect of seeing the story from that particular character’s position. I thought the audio was spectacular […]

I loved this one! It was really everything that I love in fantasy. It was so unique with all the different Londons and I absolutely loved watching them unfold and learning more about each one and the magic involved and that was intrinsic to each. Besides the uniqueness of the magic, I absolutely loved the characters. When I merely liked The Kiss of Deception and was very meh about it, I wasn’t sure what to expect from Heart of Betrayal. I already felt like a black sheep for not falling in LOVE with The Kiss of Deception but everyone assured me that Heart of Betrayal was so epic and amazing. Well. Just shun me now because I disliked Heart of Betrayal more than its predecessor. 🙁 I still feel like this series is so fantasy light. I kept expecting more. This book is […]

Fiona Hardingham narrates this one and she is like my all time favorite narrator. That was probably one of the best parts of this listen for me. Acid is about a girl named Jenna Strong, who has just been broken out of prison by a group she knows nothing about, and now she is on the run from ACID – a crazy police force that basically runs the city. I felt like this one had a lot of potential. It’s an […]

DNF Review: Legacy of Kings by Eleanor Herman

DNF Review: Legacy of Kings by Eleanor Herman

My Thoughts: I DNF-ed at 36%. I was really looking forward to this. It’s supposed to be a historical fiction story of Alexander the Great mixed with fantasy elements. It sounds amazing! It’s totally something I’d be into. Unfortunately, this did not work out for me. And I tried really hard to push through. First of all, the tense it’s written in really threw me. It’s written in 3rd person present tense and I struggled with this. It kept jolting […]
