The reason why I first got this was because the old cover had a pretty coffee cup on the cover (much like the one in my header). I am very much a coffee shop girl — yeah, I fit into that Seattle-ite stereotype and 3 years living in Vegas isn’t gonna change that. =) I love coffee shops. I like the smell of espresso, drinking from an actual mug, and sitting among other people reading, working, chatting, etc. It’s comforting […]

Okay, what do I say about this book. We read this for our Girls with Books weekend read along last weekend. Our responses were pretty similar. This book didn’t start off well for me. There are new adult books that are riveting and grab me and I love them so and then there are new adult books that just feel like a mish mash of new adult themes. It didn’t help that not very far into it, I was struck […]

Unbreakable was like… a season of 24. Fast paced, action packed, crazy twists, lots of wtf moments and SO addicting. Once again, as in Unraveling, there is a countdown and that was also a bit reminiscent of 24 to me. That’s one of my favorite shows so it’s no wonder I loved this book too. Unbreakable is the sequel to Unraveling, so if you have not read Unraveling, do not read this because there will be spoilers to Unraveling!! Unbreakable picks up […]

Oh my goodness, what a fantastic sequel! In Blurred, we discover Cash’s story. Quick refresher from Inbetween — Cash survived a fire in which he should’ve died. Anaya, a reaper for Heaven, was supposed to have taken his soul but didn’t. Ever since that incident, Cash has been seeing shadows. They haunt him. He can’t sleep, he can’t function, he just can’t deal with having them everywhere, sucking the warmth out of every single molecule in the room. He’s falling […]

Tangled was our weekend read along book with our Girls with Books group and I really loved it! (Warning: this review may be filled with quotes because Drew is so funny and I highlighted about half this book). Drew is a hilarious narrator. He tells us his story, breaking down the 4th wall, and starts off with how he’s currently sick with “the flu”. I mean, what other reason could there be for his sick feeling and the fact that […]
