recap

So yes, I am doing my September recap post in mid-October! Ha. Things have been VERY busy.

Hopefully I’ll get into more of a routine though so I can have time to both read AND blog! Anyway, here is what happened here on the blog in September!

Books Read:

7 books + 1 novella

Favorite Book Read:

Chronicles of a Lincoln Park Fashionista by Aven Ellis – when I need a relaxing feel good romance, Aven is my go-to!

Reviews on the Blog:

Chronicles of a Lincoln Park Fashionista by Aven Ellis – the one with a sexy camera man Deke!

Ghost House by Alexandra Adornetto – the one with ridiculous insta-love…

The Beautiful Ashes be Jeaniene Frost – the one with a rocky beginning but managed to hook me nonetheless

The Fine Art of Pretending by Rachel Harris – the one with my favorite tropes!!

Features:

I started a brand new feature on my blog! Football Fridays! The kick off post can be found here – I feature a player I really like as well as spotlighting a sporty book! If you don’t like football or sporty books, I also have a football hottie of the week. So, you know, lots of awesomeness! 🙂

Favorite TTT: Top Ten on my Fall TBR!

Favorite Things in September:

The return of the best season ever: FOOTBALL SEASON. My love for football is endless, it even inspired me to start my new feature. 🙂 I watch football all day, I cheer, I yell for my team, it is amazing. And fantasy football, while not quite going so well this season for me, is still so fun.

Lee Brice’s new album! If you guys didn’t know already, I am a huge country fan. And I ADORE his new album, I Don’t Dance. My favorites on there if you want to check it out: Drinking Class and That Don’t Sound Like You.

I started watching The Voice for the first time ever! I’m not sure why, but I never watched it before? I don’t watch too much TV when it’s ON TV but I got hooked watching the blind auditions and then I have a favorite so now I’m invested. Do any of you guys watch it? My favorite is James David Carter. Yes, country once again, haha. But his voice is amazing!! And he’s cute. And he has all these covers on youtube that I listened to and fell in love with him so now I have to keep watching. Plus Adam and Blake seriously crack me up.

Tell me how your September was! What was YOUR favorite read? Are you as excited about me for football? Do you listen to country? Don’t knock it til you try it. 🙂 If you watch the Voice, who’s YOUR favorite?

  1. Yay for the super late wrap-ups! Glad I wasn’t the only one so behind. Congrats on the new job!! You’ll find the balance of time. It was so rough for me when I got a job back in January after being unemployed for a year and a half. But I figured it out and I’m sure you will too. 🙂

I can’t wait to read Chronicles of a Lincoln Park Fashionista! It seems so fun!

And football!! I’m a die hard Green Bay fan and I am all about it. I grew up watching football on Sundays with my mom (she’s seriously the biggest football fan I’ve ever met) so it’s in my blood.

  2. Congrats on the new job!! 🙂 I can totally relate to life changes and trying to juggle the blog and reading along with it! (hellooo baby #3 and selling our house!) It isn’t easy, but if anyone can do it.. WE CAN. haha

I don’t love football, but I do love your new feature! You know I’m a huge fan of sports books. So… give me a football player in a book and I’m all over it!

I’ve been debating on whether or not I want to read The Beautiful Ashes– ya think it’s worth it?

  3. Late recaps are better than none at all right? This coming from someone who has been wanting to START monthly recap posts for ages and never have yet. Ha! Anyways congrats on the new job but sorry it’s so exhausting! I can definitely relate having those stretches where you have zero productivity because work has you too tired to do anything else but crash when you get home. Hopefully things settle for you soon and hey, you still managed to read some good books so that’s good! Here’s to an ever better October 🙂
