December is upon us! It’s the season for all the Christmas things – hot chocolate, fires, all things peppermint and of course, all the Christmas movies and books! I’m excited! My November was good though, as Thanksgiving is another favorite holiday and I had a good month! It was a pretty busy month and the end of the year tends to keep picking up too so I haven’t had as much time to blog! Once the new year hits, I swear I’ll get into a better rhythm! What did you read and do in November?
Favorite Things in November:
I’m excited that I’ve been able to continue ramping up my miles in my recovery journey in running! My hip still bothers me if I go too fast, if my route is too hilly, etc but as I’m able to increase miles, I know I’m just slowly (oh so slowly) recovering. I’m trying to tell myself this is okay when I’m slower and I can’t do as much because this is progress! I had a fun meet up run with some runnings groups I’m a part of and running with other people always makes things more fun!
I got to meet Emily Suvada (author of This Mortal Coil and This Cruel Design)! It was a lot of fun to hear her and Fonda Lee discuss their books, their writing processes and their publishing journeys. I personally think This Mortal Coil is super underrated and I really loved it! I can’t wait to read the sequel!
Thanksgiving was a low key relaxing weekend that I definitely needed! I got some much needed reading done and ate lots of good food! I hope everyone else had a great Thanksgiving weekend as well!

Favorite read of the month: Foolish Hearts by Emma Mills was fantastic! And my annual reread of The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater is seriously a highlight every time. <3 Also, I read Lin Manuel Miranda’s G’morning and G’night in little snippets and honestly, they made my days so much better!
